Each Rowland Fellow is expected to serve as a mentor for at least one year and hopefully as a resource in years to come. Mentorships will be based upon obvious connections in the nature of the projects for which a teacher is being supported by the Foundation. The Executive Director will meet with mentors and mentees periodically throughout the year.

The Foundation aspires to develop professional partnerships among the Rowland Fellows, particularly where similar projects have been identified. While the Foundation's executive director will facilitate collaboration among each new class of Rowland Fellows, the experience and wisdom of previous Fellows will be called on as part of the mentorship program.
