"The National Association of Secondary School Principals is pleased to present The Rowland Foundation with its highest national honor, The 2018 Distinguished Service Award for Service to Education for the significant contributions it has made to Education throughout the years."
—JoAnn Bartoletti, Executive Director, NASSP

The Rowland Foundation provides Vermont secondary school educators with a unique professional development and leadership opportunity and the resources to positively affect student achievement and the culture and climate of their respective schools. Middle school teachers may apply who are a part of a K-12 or 7-12 school and where the high school and middle school fall under the same leadership umbrella. Additionally, teachers from "stand alone" middle schools may apply for a fellowship if they partner with a teacher from the high school which receives their students.

"By giving teachers the gift of time to close the gap between what they want to do and what they are able to do, The Rowland Foundation has given our teachers and the schools of Vermont the capacity to experiment, to take risks and to make real their aspirations for their students."
Rebecca Holcombe, Former VT Sec of Educ.
